Celebrating Reading

This nine weeks, Mrs. Phillips honored the friends that met the reading goal by having a large Bingo game loaded with prizes. All of second grade came to play in the dining room and were such good sports! Every child that participated, walked away with a special prize provided by Miss KK and Mrs. Phillips. The last two students to yell, "Bingo!" were two of our friends! What fun, just like reading!

100th Day Fun

Our day was fun filled with many activities involving 100! Teachers and friends dressed up like they were 100! We went on a hunt with a wide awake mind and jotted down 100 items, we weighed our objects from home to see which was closest to 100 grams and of course, we made a snack mix of ten items- grabbing 10 of each.

You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream a For Ice Cream!

Our last experiment in our study of Matter was a tasty one. The students used a liquid and turned it into a solid- ice cream. After mixing milk, vanilla, snd sugar in one bag and then ice, salt and ice cream salt in another bag, the partners started churning!
After some excitement and goosebumps, we had formed our solid! We were able to enjoy our vanilla ice cream!
